Paying Fees

Our role here at the Trust office is to collect the school fees on behalf of our schools. Invoices are uploaded to parents’ portals and parents are emailed to advise when their termly invoices are available for viewing.

Paying Fees

We recognise sending your child to one of our schools is a considerable investment for your family and our aim is to make things as easy as possible.

This section gives you information on payment options and paying online. You can find out about our bursary scheme by visiting our School Bursaries page.

Making a Payment

Direct Debit

UK Parents are expected to pay school fees by direct debit and you will be given a direct debit mandate form when you enrol your child at one of our schools. If you opt not to pay by direct debit, fees are due to be paid in full before the first day of term, see bank transfer details below.

You can either pay termly by direct debit in 3 termly instalments or in 9 equal monthly instalments across the 3 terms:

Autumn Term – September, October and November

Spring Term – January, February and March

Summer Term – May, June and July

Depending on which option you choose any extra fees will be charged termly to your fee account (i.e. school trips, lunches if applicable) or spread over the same three collections for each term

Bank Transfer

For overseas payments and UK parents who are not paying by direct debit please pay directly into our bank account, using the bank details below:

FEES IN ADVANCE

The Harpur Trust fees in advance scheme is a long-standing facility which offers a discount for fees paid in advance. The scheme is available for payments of three terms or more. The discount applied is based on the prevailing and predicted interest rates, and is dependent upon the planned length of time of the fees in advance payment.

The minimum discount for annual payments would be £150, £50 for each term. Quotations will be valid for one month and the latest payment that could be accepted for the fees in advance scheme to be valid, is one full month before the start of the term that your fees in advance payment is due to commence.

The Harpur Trust fees in advance scheme is comprised of a set of conditions which act as a variation of your parent contract with The Trust and a letter setting out the specific sums involved. Please note, once paid, the Advance Payment is non-refundable unless the pupil leaves the school.

If you have any questions or require a quote for fees in advance, please email fees@harpurtrust.org.uk

If you would like us to prepare a Fees in Advance quote for you, we will require:

  • Name of the pupil/s.
  • School they will be attending.
  • Number of years you would like us to include in the quote.

If you have any questions about paying your child’s schools fees, or your fees account, please email our fees team on fees@harpurtrust.org.uk or call for a confidential chat on 01234 369510.

Please note that all calls to The Trust office are recorded for training and monitoring purposes.

Our History

SIR WILLIAM HARPUR’S VISION

The Harpur Trust was founded over 450 years ago by Sir William Harpur, a local man born to humble beginnings who made his fortune as a merchant tailor and became Lord Mayor of London in 1561.

Today our activities are still inspired by Sir William Harpur’s vision. He understood the value of education, and he saw what needed to be addressed to support the people in his hometown of Bedford.
